Position
Summary:
We are looking for a proven leader with a strong work ethic and passion for aviation, including self-initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the organization.
Manages all Part 135 flight operations.
Ensures that all scheduling of pilots meets FAA requirements.
Is responsible for oversight of all flight operations personnel training events and records.
Keeps all Part 135 documents (Ops Specs, General Operations Manual (GOM), Training Program, Compliance Statement, Hazardous Materials Manual, personnel records) in current form.
Ensures required pilot training and drug testing has been completed and properly documented in the individual pilot's records.
Works closely with the Director of Maintenance (DOM) to maintain an on-going knowledge of the maintenance status of all operational aircraft.
Is responsible for working with the DOM to prepare and file FAA-required reports.
Maintains operational control authority for all flight operations and primary liaison to FAA.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
oMonitors activities involved in a fixed wing and rotor wing flight operation to ensure they are handled properly.
oExperience with writing and revising General Operations Manual (GOM) and Training Manuals.
oMonitors all formal Part 135 documents for required changes and manages all revisions.
oHandles all required communication and approval with the assigned FAA FSDO team.
oOversees Chief Pilot and ensures all duties are completed appropriately.
oEnsure new hires meet FAR requirements for the job.
oInitiates collection of PRIA information for new hires and ensure all paperwork is handled properly.
oOversees or conducts all required pilot training and record keeping.
oOversees Drug Program Manager to ensure the required reports and random tests are handled properly.
oEnsures flight operations personnel takes all required steps to prepare for a flight.
oEnsures all required aircraft inspections and discrepancy reports are handled appropriately.
oEnsures records retention meets FAA requirements.
oEnsures a positive customer experience while maintaining financial goals.
oMaintains overall operational control responsibility.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
oExpert knowledge of FAA regulations regarding commercial and charter operations.
oThorough knowledge of the contents of Part 135 documentation (General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Training Program, and HazMat Program).
oSkill in managing multiple priorities while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
oSkill in balancing financial requirements with operational considerations and customer needs.
oMust have at least 3 years supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted under Part 135.
oMust have previous Director of Operations or Chief Pilot experience.
Physical Requirements:
oAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
oAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
oMust be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs.
oWork may require sitting, near vision use for reading, computer use and technical procedures, lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and other physical exertion.
oMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person, on two-way radios and telephone.
oMust possess visual acuity to operate a computer terminal, operate a motor vehicle (day and night), and read.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
