This position can be performed remotely and candidates from across the United States are welcome to apply.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Government Services group in HORNE with responding to proposals and aiding in ongoing business development efforts.
This individual will need to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks quickly and with a high level of attention to detail.
The ideal candidate for this position would have the following minimum

in Business Administration, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences or a related field of study.

years working at a program management, disaster recovery or engineering firms leading efforts to respond to proposals for government clients or comparable proposal experience.
Expert level proficiency at Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to insert complex graphics, and create formatted documents quickly.
Ability to perform market research, searching for information and data internally and externally to support information needed for pursuits and proposals.
Ability to work well in a group environment to set deadlines, managing document edits, organize information and encouraging technical contributors to keep to an agreed schedule for deliverables.
Ability to think creatively offering ideas on how to present information and showcase it in a visually appealing way in the proposal documents, presentations, and other printed materials.
Ability to manage complex document requirements, showcasing expert level attention to detail and maintain compliance on response requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish is a plus.
Job responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the list below:
Managing direct reports, this includes overseeing task completion, performing QA/QC and other efforts to help guide / mentor team members in progressing and learning proposal processes.
Supervise and oversee research market opportunities, client requirements, and other information for pre-positioning or proposal response needs.
This information could include reviewing websites for anticipated RFP postings, following up on published addendums and other market research as needed.
Organize and manage critical data including keeping a central folder to house all business development and proposal documents.
Follow and champion a file protocol process for everyone to easily identify the appropriate materials.
Gather and organize all client-facing materials utilizing a file protocol system that is widely understood by everyone working on a pursuit.
Instituting clear directions and guidance to everyone working on a pursuit to ensure version control and that all edits are compiled and addressed appropriately in brochures, presentations, proposals or other client engagement materials.
Working with the capture team, following proposal processes to ensure all content is received, formatted, and adequately reviewed prior to submission.
Documents must follow client guidance/directions, ensuring compliance with all proposal requirements.
Coordinating with others in a collaborative fashion to accomplish proposals tasks including working with internal groups such as legal, marketing, and others to gather the needed information for a pursuit, creating graphics and other document pieces.
The primary job responsibilities are noted above, but other duties may be assigned by management as required.
This position requires adherence to deadlines which on occasion will require work to be completed outside of normal business hours.
The ideal candidate will need to be willing to work flexible hours to ensure deadlines are met for the work assignments.
On occasion, this position will require limited travel for training, proposal meetings, and other business purposes.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
