Essential Functions Demonstrate creative thinking toward innovative approaches for developing document deliverables from a client perspective Collaborate with the business development team, technical support, managers, and other designers to develop designs that support the messaging and strategy needs of proposals, presentations, and other business development documents while utilizing the HORNE brand standards Participate in the full lifecycle of projects, from design brief to production Establish, organize, and maintain graphic/document templates and resource libraries Design and produce a full range of high impact, well-designed, consistent digital and print documents to enhance readability, draw the reader into the content and create appealing easy-to-read documents Design using type, font, size, color, and other concepts to enhance and create drama within a document on overarching design themes Materials to design include but are not limited to:
infographics, presentations, proposals, flyers, etc.
in print and digital formats, while making complex ideas more accessible Ability to grasp the substance of business issues being communicated and then create visual options that enhance/clarify audience understanding Ensure all artistic elements carry throughout the proposals, presentations, and deliverables ensuring a creative yet consistent look and feel; ensure brand and visual identity compliance, as needed Ensure accuracy and currency of content and graphics, provide quality control and review on all graphics to ensure no spelling or other errors Demonstrate listening and decision-making skills Exercise judgment and communicate to teams keeping internal clients informed of projects and progress Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity Required Education and Experience 1 - 3
years of relevant work experience - accompanied by a strong portfolio Bachelor's degree or related experience with preferred concentration in graphic design, layout design and/or comparable work experience Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop Willingness and ability to work under pressure to develop creative designs within tight deadlines and in a fast-paced, client-focused environment Strong communication and organizational skills (written, verbal and presentational) Strong skills in layout, composition, and in methods of design for easy review Willingness to follow branding guidelines, yet creatively design within the parameters for client-oriented appeal Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to take initiative and keep deliverables moving to meet deadlines Ability to focus on details and producing quality documents Ability to work well in a group environment to manage document edits, organize information, and improve work products Able to take direction, develop and design materials in real-time, and quickly incorporate feedback Ability to translate concepts into content that is accessible to audiences with mixed levels of expertise Ability to follow file protocols and organizational structures to house document information in a manner that allows for accessibility to other groups when information is needed Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines - some weekends, holidays, and late evenings will be required to meet client/proposal deadlines and objectives Desire to continue building skill set with education and training Organizational and time-management skills Demonstration of customer-centered orientation and mindset Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
