DESCRIPTION Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Security Manager to oversee and manage IT infrastructure, networking systems, cloud based systems and help desk operations both within the US and abroad.
This position is responsible for establishing and administering the IT policies and procedures of the company, maintaining servers, printers, VPN, wireless access points, domain controllers and PC workstations.
The ideal candidate will have a network infrastructure and security background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage and support our IT systems and projects to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, as well as the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to meet the organization's technological needs.

Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and MS Office 365, phone system, and other critical components.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Establish and maintain Network Security including monitoring network security, evaluating existing security programs, updating antivirus software, and running scans to ensure network integrity.
Design and monitor cyber security controls to adequately safeguard the company's information technology infrastructure and proprietary and, in some instances, classified information.
Manage help desk requests, providing technical guidance and support to ensure prompt and effective resolution of end-user issues.
Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and data protection.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, making recommendations for their integration into the organization's IT systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
Monitor system performance, network traffic, and security logs to proactively identify and address any issues or vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop IT solutions to meet those needs.
Manage vendor relationships, including hardware and software providers, to ensure cost-effective procurement, licensing, and timely support.
Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous improvement within the IT department.
Manage user accounts through Active Directory Train new and existing employees in the use of hardware and software associated with company systems.
Create, implement, and maintain recovery plans to ensure that all pertinent information is saved and can be retrieved in the event of a disaster.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
This individual must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups.
Also lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
WORK SCHEDULE This position is a salaried position.
The typical work schedule is a standard 40-hour work week.
TRAVEL Some travel required for this position to manage the IT functions in other office locations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT professional and capable of assuming a role which has oversight of all company information systems and security thereof.
Strong knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure and networking systems, including hardware, software, servers, and storage.
Proficient in network administration and troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Previous experience with one or more of the following firewalls:
Checkpoint, CISCO, Fortinet, Watchguard, IDS/IPS and Syslog At least 1 year of experience with Office 365 and SharePoint Familiarity with help desk operations, incident management, and ticketing systems.
Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to operate within a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to staying current with technology trends and advancements.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Microsoft Office Certifications Experience with AV switching, video encoding/decoding and file transcoding a plus Current relevant certifications (e.
g.
, CCNA, MCSA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
