S2Tech is currently seeking a Project Manager for an opportunity in Ridgeland, MS to assist our client with a Medicaid Eligibility System replacement planning project. This Project Manager (PM) will lead the planning effort for a Medicaid Eligibility System replacement of its current legacy Medicaid eligibility system. Responsibilities will include coordination, planning, and organization of Department of Social Services (DSS) project related activities. The PM will manage project risks and issues, as well as the schedule and keep management advised of project status with formal project reports.
On site presence is important to the success of the project. The preference is for the Project Manager to be on site the majority of time during the project.
Five or more years experience as a project manager for software integration projects.
References demonstrating skill in executing projects with high customer satisfaction.
Experience in planning and managing communication processes, tracking and reporting on progress and identifying and mitigating risks.
Experience in building a project team, mentoring customer project manager, and mentoring project team leads.
Excellent organization, communication, presentation, and training skills.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools routinely used for project management.
Experience working in state health and human services sector is preferred.
Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
Past experience and appropriate working knowledge of managing large scale projects
Experience managing Eligibility and Enrollment and/or Medicaid application development projects is preferred
Ability to coordinate efforts related to this project with other related initiatives including implementing a new Medicaid Management Information System, Medicaid eligibility
Experience with information technology projects and procurement management
Experience and approaches to managing and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Strong background in project leadership, information technology projects, superb written and oral communication skills, ability to engage with people across the organization, Medicaid eligibility system business
